Everyday People: Meet Barbara Eckert, possibly the nicest person in Springfield

Barbara Eckert just might be the nicest person in Springfield.

It doesn’t matter if it’s raining, if it’s snowing, if the temperature dips below zero or soars into the 90s. Eckert’s smiling face leans out the tiny booth at the Harrison Avenue exit to the Civic Center Garage as cars leave and shouts out an unescapable “Have a good one!”
