Free Parking in All Public Parking Facilities

The City of Springfield and the Springfield Parking Authority are pleased to offer free parking in all public parking facilities owned or managed by the Springfield Parking Authority beginning Saturday January 24th, 2026.

This temporary free-parking program is intended to encourage residents and visitors to move their vehicles from the streets into our public garages and lots. Doing so will help ensure that snow removal crews and emergency vehicles have full access to public roadways during the storm response.

We appreciate your cooperation as we work together to maintain safe and passable streets for everyone.

Springfield Parking Authority office will reopen to the public, by appointment only.

  • No walk-in traffic will be allowed
  • Individuals must wear face covering when entering.

Individuals will need to contact the Springfield Parking Authority directly to schedule an appointment – if such business cannot be done remotely.

  • Appointments must be made at least 24 hours in advance.

We apologize for any inconvenience and encourage people to comply with the recommendations and guidance from the CDC and the Governor’s office.
