Free Parking in All Public Parking Facilities

The City of Springfield and the Springfield Parking Authority are pleased to offer free parking in all public parking facilities owned or managed by the Springfield Parking Authority beginning Saturday January 24th, 2026.

This temporary free-parking program is intended to encourage residents and visitors to move their vehicles from the streets into our public garages and lots. Doing so will help ensure that snow removal crews and emergency vehicles have full access to public roadways during the storm response.

We appreciate your cooperation as we work together to maintain safe and passable streets for everyone.

The Springfield Parking Authority is seeking qualified applicants for the position of a part-time Parking Operations Assistant. The Parking Operations Assistant will perform a variety of responsible, professional administrative and analytical functions, initially 20 to 25 hours weekly.
