SNOW AND ICE REMOVAL FY 2020 – 002

Sealed bids will be opened publicly soon after the bid due date and time at the location indicated above.
The Springfield Parking Authority is seeking a qualified contractor to provide snow and ice removal services, including pre-treating areas for ice to ensure safety to vehicles and pedestrians. This Invitation for Bids (IFB) includes off-street parking facilities in the City of Springfield. The facilities covered by this IFB document, currently include five (5) parking garages, four (4) surface lots and one (1) courtyard, totaling approximately 4000 parking spaces; and four office spaces. The Springfield Parking Authority is seeking a contractor with at least five (5) years minimum of satisfactory performance with three (3) different contracts, similar in size to the proposed contract.
The Invitation for Bids (IFB) will be advertised beginning October 23rd, 2019, through November 19th, 2019, and will be made available electronically to interested parties who submit requests to the contact person at the address listed above.
The Springfield Parking Authority supports minority and women (MWBE) participation, as well as hiring locally, in all contracts.
The Springfield Parking Authority reserves the right to reject any and all proposals where it deems such action in the best interest of the public and/or the Springfield Parking Authority: and at its sole discretion, to pursue any and all actions it deems in the Springfield Parking Authority’s best interest regarding this Invitation for Bids.
RESPONSES DUE BY:
November 20th, 2019, before 2:00 PM local time (Est.); at the Springfield Parking Authority, 150 Bridge Street, Springfield, MA 01103-1417.
The contract will be awarded to the responsible and eligible bidder with the lowest price within 30 days of Bid opening date, subject to the approval of the Governing Board of the Springfield Parking Authority.
